Psychotherapy
If you are looking for individual or couples therapy, reach out to me. I've been a licensed psychologist for over 20 years and value my relationship with my clients. I work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, parenting issues, adjustment problems, and more.
I enjoy working with clients who want to collaborate on treatment goals. I hope my clients find me to be caring, warm, compassionate, and even a little bit humorous. Beyond my psychotherapy practice, I teach student therapists, I write fiction for kids and women, and I travel as an inspirational speaker.

My Approach
I have a passion to help you find relational healing and to live the life you want. I will work collaboratively with you to help you:
deepen connections with important people in your life
clarify your values and live a life driven by them
develop skills to recognize and respond to mental health challenges (like anxiety, depression, negative thinking, and negative relational patterns)
What is Effective Psychotherapy?
Effective psychotherapy is built on three key factors:
Our relationship: I value my relationship with my clients and believe that our relationship is the foundation for growth in our work together.
Collaboration: I believe in working together to develop goals. I seek each client's feedback about the process of therapy and work to create a therapeutic environment that is sensitive to each person's unique experience (including unique cultural and spiritual needs).
Specific techniques: I use techniques drawn from cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy as specific tools to guide our work together.
